IMG Artists and The Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency, Inc. join forces in an exclusive relationship that aims to expand the artistic platforms on which the public can experience the talents of their respective clients. Gorfaine / Schwartz represents top film and television composers, songwriters, music supervisors and producers and, through this venture with IMG Artists, will offer these creative artists new opportunities in the live performance arena. In turn, IMG Artists will seek opportunities via Gorfaine / Schwartz for its performing artist clients in the film and television world. Further, the companies will marry their collective strengths and expertise to identify new possibilities for existing clients and those clients they will sign together.

Current Projects

Planet Earth Live!

This brand new project based on BBC's award-winning documentary series will premiere in Spring/Summer 2010 on a one-month US tour with major American orchestras. Some of the most spectacular sequences from the series will be show live in HD while George Fenton (who won an Emmy Award for his score) conducts.

Not the Messiah

The partnership has handled international touring of Not the Messiah, an oratorio in which the story of the Messiah is given a magnificent Monty Python treatment. The spectacle by Eric Idle and John Du Prez of Spamalot fame was complete with an orchestra, chorus, vocal soloists and bagpipes, with Idle and Du Prez performing and, of course, a sheep. It premiered in Toronto in June 2007 with the Toronto Symphony and has been performed at Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Wolf Trap with the National Symphony, Jones Hall with the Houston Symphony, on a two week tour of Australia as well as a 40th Anniversary Month Python Celebration at Royal Albert Hall.

The Blue Planet Live!

The is continually touring internationally The Blue Planet Live!, a theatrical presentation of the most remarkable film sequences from the celebrated BBC/Discovery television series The Blue Planet. Written and conducted by George Fenton, the presentation will feature full orchestra and a choir performing the music from the series. From LA to Dallas to Taipei, the concert has enthralled, educated and celebrated the plight of the world's oceans and associated life.

Dave Grusin with Orchestra

Academy Award winning composer Dave Grusin's new program, celebrating his jazz compositions as well as his award-winning film scores (Milagro Beanfield War, Tootsie, On Golden Pond, Havana) premiered in October 2009 with five performances with the Detroit Symphony.

Dave Stewart Songbook

The partnership has handled the international tour for the Dave Stewart Songbook, which premiered at London's Tower Music Festival on in July, 2007. Dave Stewart, joined by a spectacular group of musicians and a 30-piece orchestra, showcased some of his amazing catalogue of work, including many of the hits he wrote with Annie Lennox (his longtime partner in The Eurythmics), as well as those pieces co-written or recorded with artists including Mick Jagger, Gwen Stefani, Bono, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney, Dr. Dre, Timbaland, The Neptunes, Beyoncé, George Harrison and Joss Stone.

The partnership has developed a number of soundtrack opportunities for IMG Artists many talented clients, and plans to match preeminent film composers and instrumentalists to create unique upcoming recording projects.

IMG Artists/GSA Consulting

IMG Artists and the Gorfaine/Schwartz Agency are pleased to announce the formation of IMG Artists/GSA Consulting, a new co-venture providing consulting services to orchestras for their Pops and popular music programming with an emphasis on strategic planning. The extensive services of IMG Artists/GSA Consulting are varied and will be tailored to the individual needs of each client. This flexibility allows IMG Artists/GSA Consulting to work with orchestras of all budget sizes and in all areas of Pops concert production, including: program development, creative audience development goal setting, analyzing and evaluating current popular programming, guest artist selection and booking, marketing and technical production guidance, budgeting, development of popular programming strategy, development of new orchestral shows with popular artists including the cost-effective creation of new charts, and development of new programming ideas based on thematic ideas.
