Anna Tifu is considered one of the most talented Italian artists of her generation. At the age of 11 she made her debut as soloist with the Orchestra National de Pays de La Loire. At 12 she made her debut at La Scala Milan performing the Bruch Violin Concerto No.1.
In 1994, she won first prize with distinction at the Vittorio Veneto concert series and in 1996 the Società Umanitaria di Milano competition. In 1997 she won 3 prizes at the Kloster Schöntal International Competition in Germany including the prize for best performance of Bach. In the same year at Santa Cecilia Academy of Music in Rome she won the S.I.A.E. (the Italian Society of Authors and Editors) competition for the best students from the Italian Music Academies.
At 14 she won first prize in the Viotti Valsesia International Competition and first prize in the International Competition M. Abbado Competition in Stresa, along with many other awards and prizes. She received her Music Diploma from the Cagliari Academy of Music at the age of 15.

In 2007 she came to international attention as winner of the first prize in the George Enescu International Competition in Bucharest.
As a soloist she has collaborated with major orchestras, including the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Chamber Orchestra, Berliner Philharmonic Virtuosos, Israel Philharmonic Soloists, Israel Chamber Orchestra, Munich Chamber Orchestra, Prague Chamber Orchestra, Essen Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Philharmonic of the Nations, Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, George Enescu Philharmonic, Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari, Romanian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Limburg Symphonie Orkest of Maastricht, Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Symphonica Toscanini, Orchestra della RAI di Torino, Pomeriggi Musicali, Orchestra del Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Orchestra del Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Orchestra da Camera di Mantova, Orchestra Regionale del Lazio, Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese.
In 2011 Andrea Bocelli invited Anna Tifu as guest soloist for various concerts in Italy and abroad.
Anna Tifu has been testimonial for the Italian airline company Alitalia, along with Riccardo Muti, the director Gabriele Tornatore and the dancer Eleonora Abbagnato.
She plays a Carlo Bergonzi violin, Cremona 1739 known as "Mischa Piastro" on loan from the Associazione Pro Canale of Milan.
