Reviews

"The Opera Fuoco orchestra and its conductor David Stern set off musical fireworks thanks to their organic interpretation, as though the music was being played in one single breath. "

Opera Point, Carola Jakubowksi

" Deliberate, colorful, quasi-pointillist, David Stern’s direction highlights the slightest figures that ornament this music and encourages the response of stands of well-sustained string players, capable of great narrative and dramatic contrasts, and a row of elegant woodwinds."

La Lettre du Musicien, Clément Rochefort

"...Alongside the soprano, the stars of the show were conductor David Stern, who is the Israeli Opera’s Music Director and Shai Boner, who masterminded the video projections. Stern, a Paris-based American, conducted with energy and authority, unfazed that he and the orchestra were squeezed on the small stage with the chorus and soloists..."
