Dinyar Vania has recently emerged as one of the USA’s most exciting young tenors. With a voice that combines both power and beauty, he has earned critical acclaim portraying several of the most beloved roles in opera.
In the 2010-11 season Dinyar returned to the roster of New York City Opera for its production of L’elisir d’amore, and appeared as soloist in an evening of opera arias with Seattle Symphony Orchestra. Dinyar performed as Don Jose in Carmen for his debut with Lyric Opera of Kansas City. In the 2011-12 season, he sings as Rodolfo in La bohème with Dayton Opera.
Recent highlights include Cavaradossi in Tosca with Dallas Opera, Sacramento Opera and Toledo Opera, Rodolfo in La bohème for New York City Opera, Madison Opera and Knoxville Opera and his role debut as Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore for Sacramento Opera. He has also sung Alfredo in La traviata with Opera Cleveland and Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly with Knoxville Opera.

He was a semi-finalist in Placido Domingo’s Operalia in Madrid, won First Place in the Giulio Gari Vocal Competition, was awarded Second Prize in the Licia Albanese-Puccini Competition and has also been awarded Syracuse Opera’s “Artist of the Year.”
