Elena Maximova graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire. In 2000 she was subsequently engaged as a soloist at the Moscow Stanislavsky Music Theatre. Today she sings parts in the most of the theatre’s repertoire, among them are Poline (The Queen of Spades), Siebel (Faust), Prince Orlovsky (Die Fledermaus), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Olga (Eugene Onegin), the title role of Carmen and Charlotte (Werther). She carries on an intensive concert activity and enjoys collaboration with various notable Russian orchestras, including the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, the National Philharmonic of Russia, musical director V. Spivakov (participation in the Seven Gates of Jerusalem oratorio by K. Penderecki in December 2003), the Hermitage Chamber Orchestra and the St.Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, under Alexander Dmitriev’s direction. Elena made her European debut in the production of Rigoletto (Maddalena) under the direction of Zubin Mehta at the Bayerische Staatsoper in 2005. On concert podium, she has performed the Verdi Requiem with Orchestra de la Comunitat Valenciana, conductor Lorin Maazel, in Palau de les Arts, Valencia, and with Montréal and Choeur Saint-Laurent Symphonic Orchestra under Kent Nagano’s direction at the Lanaudière Festival, Canada.

In upcoming seasons, she will sing Preziosilla in La forza del destino at Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the title role of Carmen for her debuts at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and the Vienna Staatsoper.
