Maria Guleghina is one of today’s foremost dramatic sopranos having performed 15 new productions at Teatro alla Scala and, with more than 150 performances to her credit at the MET, new productions of Macbeth, Nabucco, Andrea Chenier and Sly. She has performed in all the major international opera houses including, amongst others, London’s Royal Opera, the Paris Opera, the Liceu Barcelona, Munich’s Bayerische Staatsoper, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Wiener Staatsoper, the Arena di Verona, the Mariinsky Theatre, and the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. Highlights of upcoming engagements include Nabucco at the MET; Nabucco and Tosca at the Vienna State Opera; Turandot and Andrea Chenier at the Deutsche Opera Berlin; Macbeth at the Mariinsky Theatre and in Monte Carlo; as well as tours to Japan and Asia in the title roles of Puccini’s Turandot and Tosca. Additionally, Ms. Guleghina is an accomplished concert artist singing numerous concerts with orchestra and recitals with piano each season in Europe and Asia. She is an honorary board member to the International Paralympic Committee as well as a Global Goodwill Ambassador to UNICEF.
