Other future appearances include the title role of Charpentier’s Medée at Théatre du Champs Elysées, and Nicklausse Les Contes d’Hoffmann in France and in Spain.
Recent successes include her appearance at San Francisco Opera as Cherubino Le Nozze di Figaro, and the role of Ruggiero Alcina under the baton of Marc Minkowski and Les Musiciens du Louvre in concert. She returned to her home town of Montreal to appear as Charlotte Werther and travelled to Paris for Cendrillon’s Prince at Opera Comique; at Arizona Opera she sang Dorabella, and made her debut at Teatro alla Scala as Frasquita Carmen under the baton of Daniel Barenboim. She went on to appear at Palm Beach Opera as Donna Elvira Don Giovanni, at Washington National Opera as Cherubino.
The artist’s achievement at the Metropolitan Opera Auditions in 2005 led to her house debut in 2007 as Diane Iphigénie en Tauride, under the baton of Louis Langrée, alongside Susan Graham and Placido Domingo. Her success at the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium International Competition in 2008 won her a recital tour of Europe and a recording of the works of Duparc, entitled ‘Complete Melodies’ with pianist Daniel Blumenthal, released in April 2009 on the Fuga Libera label.
Charming in recital and frequently found on the concert platform, the artist’s solo appearances embrace Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Berlioz’s L’enfance du Christ, Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, and Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle; in Mozart's Requiem she toured the US with Les Violons du Roy and later appeared with James Conlon at Cincinnati’s May Festival. Miss Losier distinguishes herself in the Masses and Requiems of Rossini, Vivaldi, Handel, Dvořák, and Bach.
Other appearances include Nicklausse Les Contes d’Hoffmann at Boston Lyric Opera; Wellgunde Das Rhinegold, Götterdämmerung, and Grimgerde Die Walküre at Seattle Opera; Suzuki Madama Butterfly at Pacific Opera; Mrs Grose The Turn of the Screw, Lazuli L'Étoile and Mercedes Carmen at Opéra de Montréal. Additional roles in the Miss Losier’s repertoire include Hänsel Hänsel und Gretel, Concepcion L’Heure Espagnole, L'Enfant L’Enfant et les Sortilèges, Sesto La Clemenza di Tito, Romeo Capuleti e i Montecchi and Dido Dido and Aeneas. Her recent Charlotte Werther for Opera Australia in Sydney was hailed as “a magnificent performance, emotionally mature and vocally virtuosic" (The Australian).
“And then there's mezzo Michele Losier, who as Cherubino delivers the dramatic/musical package that a true Nozzephile is looking for. Losier is the most convincingly male Cherubino I've seen …Her tone is strong and focused… Her "Voi che sapete" was strikingly understated, and her handling of the final ritard of "Non so piu" - one of the most touching moments in the opera - is divine.” Michael Vaughn, The Opera Critic, 21 September 2010.

"In the travesty role of Prince Charming, Michèle Losier’s full-blooded, confident mezzo is so good you wonder how theatres can ever justify substituting a tenor."
Financial Times - Francis Carlin
