From a bare stage the design explodes into an elaborate installation of flown poles and fixed bars and specially adapted flying equipment that integrates the following dynamic skills: Aerial Cradle, Multiple Corde Lisse, Group Banquine, Acro Contact Dance, Extraordinary Handstand, Chinese Pole, Spinning Cyr and ensemble physical dance. The international multi skilled cast performs in, around, above and on the structure working each apparatus to its breaking point.
The sculptured female bodies contrast starkly against the metallic steel.A thumping soundtrack of high energy high octane commercial sounds sung by iconic female artists drives the performance; from pop to rock, from metal to punk. Streamlined and sexy the costumes accentuate and highlight, expose and enhance the female form. The Generating Company was formed from the Millennium Dome Central show, it was an idea by Dome Creative Director Mark Fisher and Production Manager Paul Cockle. In 2006 and 2007 the Generating Company played live to over a million people with original shows performing and touring on three continents.
