Meow Meow

Named top ten “Best of Cabaret ” by Time Out New York, “cabaret diva of the highest order” by the New York Post and “A phenomenon” by the Australian press, the “Post -post- modern cabaret diva” Meow Meow has wowed audiences globally with her unique brand of kamikaze cabaret and performance art exotica.

Meow Meow performs in venues as diverse as the Sydney Opera House, Joe's Pub (New York), American Repertory Theatre (Boston), the Berlin Philharmonic, ‘The Famous Spiegeltents globally, London's West End, and numerous international arts festivals including Time Based Arts (US), Ann Arbor, Edinburgh, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Braga, Portugal and the Festival Estuaire, France. She is a frequent collaborator with an eclectic mix of the world's greatest artistic visionaries including Pina Bausch, David Bowie, Iain Grandage, Pink Martini, John Cameron Mitchell, and the Dresden Dolls among others.

Meow Meow has won numerous Australian Green Room Awards and the New York Franklin Furnace Performance Art award. She has presented solo programs curated by David Bowie for the New York High Line Festival (alongside Laurie Anderson, Amy Winehouse, and Ricky Gervais), by Pina Bausch for her legendary dance-theatre festival 08 (alongside Mikhail Baryshnikov and Sylvie Guillem at the Paris Opera), and was presented by Carnegie Hall in the highly successful Berlin in Lights Festival. The Sydney Opera House has presented several seasons of Meow Meow works: “Beyond Glamour” and “Meow to the World: Crisis is Born”, and, with Malthouse Theatre, commissioned her full-length original music theatre piece VAMP! (with composer Iain Grandage). Sydney Festival and New York City’s Performance Space122 have curated “Insert the name of the Person You Love” – an ongoing work on the time it takes to fall in love - in collaboration with scientists and psychologists from Rutgers University, SUNY Stonybrook, and Oregon State Universities.

Meow Meow has recorded for WDR, RBB (Germany), ABC (Australia), Radio France, and Sonic Arts (UK).
