Composer & Conductor Andrea Morricone Joins IMG Artists Global Roster


IMG Artists is pleased to welcome composer and conductor Andrea Morricone to its roster for worldwide representation.  Mr. Morricone will be represented by General Manager Marco Patrignani and Paolo Petrocelli from the Rome office.

Mr. Morricone’s work encompasses award winning compositions for film as well as concerti, orchestral, chamber and choral works.  He has composed over 25 soundtracks for Italian and international films including the Golden Globe winners Raul and L’Industriale, Academy Award nominated documentary Capturing the Friedmans and his BAFTA award winning collaboration for Giuseppe Tornatore’s Cinema Paradiso.  He has also composed the scores for narrative dramas including Liberty Heights, directed by Barry Levinson, Here on Earth, Due Amici, Funny Money and L’Inchiestra and documentary features Brando, Slum Symphony and Huxley on Huxley.  Mr. Morricone was also honoured with the Premio Ennio Morricone award by the 2012 Bari International Festival for his soundtrack to L’Industriale.

Mr. Morricone’s recent classical compositions include his Concerto for Trumpet and Orchestra and Piano Concerto, both of which have been recorded for release in the coming year.  He is currently writing a number of compositions for string ensembles featuring choral arrangements and  soloists.

Mr. Morricone divides his time between Rome and Los Angeles.
