Alexander Sladkovsky returns to the podium at Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia for three concerts on 12, 13 and 14 April. He will conduct Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Legend of the Invisible City of Kitezh Suite and Tchaikovsky‘s Orchestral Suite No3 in G, Op. 55 as well as Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43 with pianist Nikolai Lugansky as soloist. He is stepping in for Maestro Yuri Temirkanov, who withdrew due to ill health.

Alexander Sladkovsky comes to Rome immediately following acclaimed concerts opening the VIII International Festival “Rakhlin Seasons” with his own Tatarstan National Symphony Orchestra. Additional recent highlights includeOrchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo, Sinfonia Varsovia, State Academic Symphony Orchestra of Russia “Svetlanov Orchestra” and Russian National Orchestra.
