Andrey Boreyko replaces an indisposed Yuri Temirkanov with Filarmonica della Scala, in Teatro alla Scala, Milan, on 26th March. He conducts Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No.3 with Seong-Jin Cho (winner of the 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition) and Tchaikovsky Symphony No.5. This has been a busy few weeks for Boreyko, with concerts for Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin, San Francisco Symphony, Bamburg Symphoniker, National Arts Centre Ottawa all resulting in immediate re-invitations. Following La Scala, Boreyko flies to the US for concerts with Houston Symphony and with his own orchestra in Naples, Florida.
