“Our relationship with Tigranyan began in the summer of 2017 when he conducted the orchestra in Tchiakovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 and Brahms Symphony No. 1. The concerts were acclaimed by the classical press who lauded the young conductor’s technical mastery and admirable musical sensitivity. It immediately became clear that he was the right person to develop the potential of this festival and orchestra. His great musicianship, talent and knowledge combined with his acumen towards managerial leadership will infuse our organisation with a new spirit as we continue in our aim to develop this festival into the most distinguished in Italy, and to bolster our international reach and recognition.”
