Constantin Trinks makes his debut with Opera Roma with Lehár’s Die lustige Witwe. Co-produced with the Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, the production is directed by Damiano Michieletto and opens on Sun 14 April at Teatro Costanzi with further performances on 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 April.
This season has also seen Constantin continuing his long-standing relationship with Bayerische Staatsoper, conducting Strauss’ Arabella and Mozart’s Die Entführung aus dem Serail. At the end of 2018, he conducted Christof Loy’s production of Weber’s Euryanthe for Theater an der Wien with the ORF Radio Symphonieorchester Wien.
Later this month, he again joins the ORF Radio Symphonieorchester Wien, this time for a concert at the Brucknerhaus Linz on 26 April with a programme featuring Dvořák’s Biblical Songs with Vesselina Kasarova and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances. Further afield, Constantin conducts Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8 with the orchestra of Oslo Opera.
