Dorottya Láng has been selected to perform in the Wiener Konzerthaus series ‘Great Talents’. The series was created to provide unique opportunities to emerging artists to showcase their talents, meet with renowned conductors, receive advice on repertoire, and to gain stage experience and publicity. Dorottya will perform a programme of Schubert, Schumann and Brahms, and the “excellent” (Kurier) young mezzo-soprano will be accompanied by acclaimed pianist Julius Drake. She will also perform works with mezzo-soprano Sophie Rennert and cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan.

Dorottya is a member of the ensemble at Hamburg Staatsoper where she has performed many lead roles such as Angelina in La Cenerentola and Hermia in Simon Phillips’ A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream, and later this summer she will perform in a lead role in the World Premiere of Peter Ruzicka’s new opera Benjamin. Last summer, Dorottya made her Schubertiade recital debut with Helmut Deutsch at the Budapest Palace of Arts Song recital.
