Following the release of her international chart-topping recording of Ysaÿe’s Six Sonatas for solo violin, Hilary Hahn has released a stunning new single of Paganini’s “Caprice No. 24″. The recording was made for Japan’s NHK’s educational TV anime series about a high school orchestra group, Ao no Orchestra (aka Blue Orchestra). Hilary’s dazzling performance is heard as the main character’s (Hajime Aono) father (Aono Ryuuji), a world-renowned violinist, plays the piece.
Both Hilary Hahn’s Ysaÿe’s Six Sonatas for solo violin and Paganini’s “Caprice No. 24″ are available now on Deustsche Grammophon.
