Lorna Aizlewood, COO and General Counsel of IMG Artists, today announced major promotions and a new senior position at the global performing arts leader.

Naomi Ives has been named Senior Vice President and Global Head of Conductors & Instrumentalists Artist Management. In addition to her roster of extraordinary artists, Naomi will oversee the strategy and operations for the international Conductors and Instrumentalists team from the London office.

Toby Tumarkin, who joined the company as Senior Vice President of Artists & Attractions in February of this year, becomes SVP and Global Head of Artists & Attractions. He will direct the growth and management of IMGA’s international shows, attractions, world music, jazz and Folk/Americana roster from the company’s New York office. He will also manage the development, co-production and representation of new projects under the IMG Artists Presents banner.

Both Naomi and Toby report into Lorna Aizlewood.

Born in Sheffield, Naomi Ives graduated with Single Honours in French from the University of Birmingham. She began her artist management career at IMG Artists in 2002 as an Associate in the Conductors & Instrumentalist division. She moved to Scotland to work for the Royal Scottish National Orchestra before serving for five years as Company Manager of Scottish Opera. She returned to IMGA as an Artist Manager in 2011 and currently represents internationally acclaimed artists including violinists Sarah Chang and Hilary Hahn; pianists Jonathan Biss and Simon Trpčeski; cellist Jakob Koranyi and conductors Jessica Cottis, Jean Deroyer, James Gaffigan (Europe), José Luis Gomez, Michail Jurowski and Julian Kuerti. Naomi, who lives in Richmond, is fluent in French, trained as a singer and enjoys cooking, eating and travel.

Toby Tumarkin joined IMG Artists in February 2016 following a 17-year career at Columbia Artists Management and CAMI Music. He has represented more than a dozen Grammy®-winning and nominated artists and has been instrumental in introducing and expanding the reach of diverse musical genres (including Portuguese fado, bluegrass and flamenco) to many theatres across the United States. Toby is one of the founders of NextGen (now WAA 35 Below), the Western Arts Alliance’s programme designed to foster relationships between young professionals in the performing arts. He is also a member of the inaugural class of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters’ Emerging Leaders Institute. A native of New York City, Toby holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vassar College and a Post-Graduate diploma in voice from Trinity College London.
