IMG Artists is delighted to welcome tenor Ilker Arcayürek to its roster for General Management. Ilker will be represented by Senior Vice President and Artist Manager Kristin Schuster from London and Munich.

Lauded for his “golden and natural lyric tenor” and called one of the Top 10 International Rising Tenors by Opera Now, Ilker is winner of the 2016 International Art Song Competition of the Hugo Wolf Academy in Stuttgart, finalist of the 2015 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition and a current BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist.

Having made his debut at Teatro Real in Madrid (Claudio in Wagner’s Das Liebesverbot) earlier this year, forthcoming highlights include his Wigmore Hall recital debut as well as debuts with the Dresdner Kreuzchor and Philharmonie, and with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra at Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

Ilker said: “I am very excited to start a new chapter in my life and career with IMG Artists! I look forward to a long and fruitful collaboration and hope that my love and passion for music is shared and enjoyed with a larger audience through the hands of Kristin Schuster and IMGA.”

Kristin said: “Ilker Arcayürek is a born communicator, gifted with rare talent and scrupulous musicianship enabling him to convey true emotion. I am thrilled to welcome him to the IMG Artists family and very much look forward to beginning this exciting journey together.”

Born in Istanbul and raised in Vienna, the “bright, strong, radiant tenor” (Opernnetz) was a soloist with the Mozart Boys Choir before continuing his studies with tenor Sead Buljubasic. He has also been a member of the Arnold Schönberg Choir, International Opera Studio Zürich, and the Stadttheater Klagenfurt. He is currently a member of the ensemble at Staatstheater Nürnberg.
