IMG Artists’ Matthew Bledsoe said:
“We are honored to be partnering with the Houston Ballet and Houston Ballet II under the IMG Artists Global Dance Roster. This ballet institution, under the Artistic Direction of Stanton Welch AM, has positioned itself at the forefront of the American dance scene. The incredibly strong classical core of the company’s dancers paired with the diverse repertoire comprised of classics from yesterday, innovative contemporary works of today and its own storytelling talent that brings to life full-length story ballets of Stanton Welch and other leading choreographers worldwide.
“The Houston Ballet II, a recognized talent pool and a spring board for the international career of young dancers from across the world, provides audiences with the unique opportunity to witness these young stars talents at the beginning of their careers. I personally grew up watching the Houston Ballet and then, many years later began collaborating with the company on special projects including the Lang Lang Dance Project at the Théatre des Champs Élysées in Paris, France so making our relationship official by signing them to our roster feels like a natural next step.”
