IMG Artists is delighted to welcome conductor Ana María Patiño-Osorio to its roster for General Management. She will be represented by Agnieszka Mikus from the London office.

Currently Assistant Conductor of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande for the 2022-23 season (extended for 2023-24), Patiño-Osorio has gathered praise as a remarkable conductor expressing wisdom, finesse, and deep respect for music. Of her conducting, Le Temps wrote: “the entire performance of Ana Maria Patino-Osorio impressed with her strength and her tranquillity of being.”

On the signing, Ana María says, “I am overjoyed to join the IMG Artists roster and to continue an already deeply enriching collaboration with Agnieszka Mikus. I truly feel that my work, passion and devotion to music is supported and understood by Agnieszka and the wider IMG Artists team. I am thrilled about the steps we will walk together and the music that will come.”

Agnieszka Mikus said, “I am delighted that Ana María Patiño-Osorio has joined us for General Management, as since our first encounter, nearly a year ago, it was instantly clear that we had a deep understanding and appreciation for each other. A uniquely talented musician, Ana is a natural leader with pure love and passion for conducting and an authentic ability to inspire and bring out the best in musicians. Ana Maria lives and breathes enthusiasm for music, creating thought provoking programmes and bringing her vision to life. I cannot wait to see where this collaboration will take us!”

Following on Patiño-Osorio’s recent successes, she has been invited to guest conduct many orchestras in the upcoming seasons, including Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, Iberacademy Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, Philharmonic of Bogota and the National Symphony of Uruguay. Her recent engagements include the Meininger Staatstheather, the École de Musique de Genève Orchestre, EAFIT Symphony Orchestra, Medellín Philharmonic Orchestra and the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia, among others.

Ana Maria began her musical training as a saxophonist before transitioning into orchestral conducting. She completed her undergraduate degree in Orchestra Conducting at the Universidad EAFIT in Medellin under Alejandro Posada before being accepted to the prestigious masters programme of Orchestral Conducting at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste as a student of Johannes Schlaefli, where she graduated with honours in 2021.  She is also the recipient of the 2021 National Prize for best Conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá and a winner of the Conducting Fellowship at Dirigentenforum des Deutschen Musikrates, Germany) in 2019.
