IMG Artists is delighted to welcome soprano Alexandra Marcellier to its roster for General Management. Winner of Forum Opera 2021 ‘Rising Star’ category, she will be represented by Mattia Campetti from the company’s London office.

In 2018 Alexandra made her debut with the Bordeaux Opera singing Rossini’s Stabat Mater, singing the part of Gabriel in Haydn’s The Creation at the Musica Sacra Festival in Perpignan and Eurydice in Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice with the Ensemble Vocal Ariana Médoc. In 2019 she appeared as Belinda in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas within the Festival “Eure Poétique & Musicale”, made her debut at the New York Carnegie Hall and appeared in recital at the Paris Salle Gaveau with the soprano Béatrice Uria-Monzon. In 2021 she sang the first Nymph in Rusalka by Dvorak at the Opera of Limoges. Just a few days after singing the title-role of Madama Butterfly at the Saint-Etienne Opera, the Monte-Carlo Opera offered Alexandra Marcellier to take over as Cio-Cio-San from another soprano who had fallen ill. In March 2022 she will sing La voix humaine by Poulenc with the Verdi orchestra at the Fondazione Cariplo in Milan.

She says, ” I am very happy and excited to join the IMGA family and team up with Mattia. I am sure that a long and beautiful story awaits us. Let the adventure begin…”

Mattia says, ” I am proud and full of joy to be able to announce the representation of the young and amazing talent Alexandra Marcellier. It is an honor to have her trust in our collaboration and I look forward to successful future with many new projects.”

Alexandra Marcellier was born in Perpignan (France). She started her violin studies when being 6 years old. When turning 19 she decided to devote herself to singing. Having completed her studies at the Bordeaux Conservatory with the soprano Maryse Castets and Martine Marcuz, a musical-coach at the Bordeaux Opera, the young soprano is currently being cared for by the soprano Florence Guignolet.
