Pianist Julius Drake, with his frequent recital partner bass-baritone Gerald Finley, begins a tour around the US on the 27 January to 09 February. The five-stop tour has a characteristically wide-ranging programme, featuring works by Schubert, Hugo Wolf and Mark-Anthony Turnage. A full list of dates and venues, including the link to tickets, is available below.

Drake receives high praise from reviews following his performance with Finley at Wigmore Hall on 9 January. Ivan Hewett from The Telegraph writes, “The first of them, the famous ‘Who is Sylvia’, made for a promising start. Drake dashed off the piano part with a winning, almost-careless ease (a quality we saw a lot of during the evening).”

Drake, described as the “collaborative pianist nonpareil” by The New Yorker, enjoys an international reputation as one of the finest instrumentalists in his field, collaborating with many of the world’s leading artists. He is the Artistic Director of the Machynlleth Festival in Wales.
