IMG Artists is delighted to announce that Konstantin Chudovsky has renewed his contract as Principal Conductor of Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile for a further three seasons from January 2018 through December 2020.
As Principal Conductor of Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile since January 2013, Konstantin leads the Teatro’s orchestra and singers in a series of concerts, operas and ballets. Highlights include Janáček’s Jenufa, Shostakovich’s Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake.
Konstantin opened the 2018 season with Ravel’s Pavana pour une infante défunte and Daphnis et Chloé Suites No. 1&2, and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with Alfredo Perl as the soloist.
This season, Konstantin will conduct Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet, Puccini’s Tosca, Bellini’s Norma, and concerts including works by Brahms, Shostakovich, Debussy, Saint-Saëns and Bartók.
In addition to his position with the Teatro Municipal de Santiago de Chile, Konstantin works with many renowned orchestras including the Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Israel Symphony Orchestra Rishon LeZion (Orchestra of Tel-Aviv Opera), Jerusalem Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of Theatre de Lyon, Orchestre de Massy, Orchestra of the Estonian National Opera, Russian State Symphony Orchestra (Svetlanov Orchestra), State Symphony Capella of Russia, Moscow City Symphony (Russian Philharmonic) and Orchestra of Kaliningrad Opera Theatre. Konstantin has toured to Oman with the Ballet Company of the Opéra de Lyon and the Prague Philharmonia Orchestra, performing Prokofiev’s Cinderella.
