Louis Schwizgebel will make his Oregon Symphony debut performing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major on the 15-17 January 2022. The performance will be conducted by Oregon Symphony Music Director David Danzmayr at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Tickets for the concerts are now available.
Schwizgebel is described as “a genuine virtuoso, a spirited young genius with real depth” (Fono Forum) and an “insightful musician” (New York Times). He is praised repeatedly for his poise, elegance, imagination, expressive lyricism and crystalline articulation.
Schwizgebel’s 2021/22 season will include performances with the Sacramento Philharmonic Orchestra (Beethoven concerto n. 5), Utah Symphony Orchestra (Mozart concerto K. 414) and Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra (Gershwin concerto in F) in the spring.
