Manoj Kamps will conduct the world premiere of Anthony Fiumara’s One Thousand Roads – Travel on 25 June. The eclectic programme, which also features works by JS Bach, Tom Johnson, John Cage and Brian Eno will open the Bachfestival Dordrecht in The Netherlands. Manoj will be joined on stage by period ensemble B’Rock Orchestra, contemporary music specialists Ensemble KLANG and soprano Claron McFadden.

With a growing profile in The Netherlands, next season Manoj returns to Phion (Orkest van Gelderland & Overijssel) in a project focussing on Louise Farrenc’s Symphony No. 3, November Music Festival (Seung Won Oh’s YeonDo with Cappella Pratensis & New European Ensemble) and Asko|Schönberg (Philip Venables’ The Gender Agenda which Manoj conducted the Dutch premiere of in 2019). Having worked together with Dutch National Opera last season, Manoj and director Lisenka Heijboer Castañón will join forces again for a new creation as part of Dutch National Opera’s Opera Forward Festival in March 2022 – this time with Asko|Schönberg ensemble in the pit.

Following a successful debut in 2019 with Giulio Cesare, Manoj will also return to Opera North next season.
