Pietari Inkinen - Conductor has received a great review from Klassik Heute in regards to the Bayreuth festival!

"A few weeks ago, the Bayreuth festival management announced that the Finnish conductor Pietari Inkinen, chief conductor of the Deutsche Radio Philharmonie since September 2017, will take over musical direction in the new Ring des Nibelungen next year…The release of the third scene of the 3rd Siegfried Act, which was released last autumn in Saarbrücken, is just in time to arouse interest even among those Wagnerians who did not know him yet.

The presented sample of his abilities raises hopes for the design of the complete ring. With the excellently arranged orchestra, which also excels in the brass solos, Inkinen finds a very slender Wagnerian sound at consistently organic tempi, organizes the highlights organically, models the leitmotifs with great delicacy and never lets himself be led into sensationalism. His sense for the lyrical, also chamber-musical Valeurs of the score could lead in the acoustics of the Festspielhaus to beautiful sound results."
