IMG Artists congratulates Stéphane Degout on his 2019 International Opera Award for Solo Recital Recording, Enfers. For the recording, Degout takes on the the mantle of Henri Larrivée, the famous tragedian of Rameau and Gluck. The album, with the Pygmalion ensemble under conductor Raphaël Pichon, is available in stores and online on Harmonia Mundi.
Stéphane Degout is renowned for his highly sensitive interpretations of French melody and German Lieder. Highlights of his 2018/19 season include Valentin (Faust) at the Teatro Real de Madrid, a role which he will also undertake at the Covent Garden Royal Opera House. He will return to Lyon with Lessons in Love and Violence and in Paris he will appear at the Opéra Comique in Hamlet, the Opéra Bastille in Les Troyens and at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Iphigénie en Tauride. This season Stéphane will also give recitals across Europe with his pianist Alain Planès.
