His ability to unite the musical traditions and forms of expression of various cultures and countries makes him an outstanding representative of a young generation of conductors. His friend and mentor Paavo Järvi says about him: “Arman’s charismatic but also clear style of conducting and the attention to detail, as well as the gift of capturing all actors, make him a very fine and special musician, conductor and representative of his generation. He understands the psychology of an ensemble very well and knows how to achieve an extraordinarily positive result quickly and efficiently.”

About Arman Tigranyan’s performance with Sinfonietta Cracovia, August 2017:

“The Sinfonietta under the charismatic conductor, Arman Tigranyan, created the highlight of the evening with two pieces by Beethoven. At the beginning of the concert the overture to the ballet “The Creatures of Promotheus” op. 43, was performed brilliantly and with passion, but at the same time transparent, so that all the nuances reached the listeners, despite the echoic acoustic. In the final piece we could also hear the sparkling colours, moods and dynamics of the 2nd Symphony in D major. It was a cheerful music, which did not lack the required seriousness at regarded places. I haven’t visited concerts of the Sinfonietta Cracovia for quite a while and therefore I am so much more rejoiced to have heard this wonderful performance.”

Polskamuza
