“I have heard orchestras in big opera houses not playing this well, but very few, around the world, with more verve and feeling.Under the passionate direction of San Francisco Opera Resident Conductor Giuseppe Finzi the young musicians put their hearts into an exciting, Italianate interpretation of Mozart that should not be missed”

The Opera Orchestra's opening performance of Rossini's "William Tell" Overture, which could easily have been little more than filler, instead emerged as a magnificent curtain-raiser, with lively leadership from Finzi.”
