Job Description

The semester and summer internship program provides an opportunity for candidates interested in a career in the arts to receive a complete overview of the workings of an artist management agency. Interns assist in all phases of operation within the artist management division and work closely with both management and servicing staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: liaising directly with opera companies, orchestras and recital presenters to coordinate logistics; contract processing; organizing auditions for artists and presenters; applying for international visas and work permits; production and distribution of publicity materials; and other administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should be interested in arts management as a career and have a strong knowledge of both vocal and orchestral repertoire. We are looking for bright, organized, detail-oriented individuals with excellent communications skills.  You should possess a positive attitude and the ability to take direction and follow through on your projects. Computer literacy and proficiency are a must, and knowledge of foreign languages is helpful. Summer interns are expected to work five full days a week during the summer term.

Benefits

While the knowledge and experience one gains is invaluable, this is a non-paying internship that must be counted as credit towards an undergraduate or graduate degree. Accommodation, transportation and/or relocation costs will not be reimbursed, however, a $400.00 travel stipend will be offered for each term.
