The dazzling rising star, conductor Sasha Yankevych makes his Milan debut at the MITO Festival on 14 September. The Ukrainian conducts the UnMi Orchestra with a programme featuring Haydn’s Symphony No. 7 in C Major, Hob. 1:7 “Le Midi” and Symphony in G Major No. 8 Hob. 1:8 “Le Soir” and the Italian premiere of Eric Tanguy’s Matka.

This concert follows Sasha’s successful summer debut at the Festival Luglio Musicale Trapanese for a new production of Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore and thrilling collaborations at the Verbier Festival, where he worked alongside Gianandrea Noseda, Klaus Makela, Lahav Shani and Reinhardt Goebel.

Second and Orchestra prize-winner at the 2021 Toscanini International Conducting Competition, Sasha returns to the Toscanini Symphony Orchestra on 20 September at the Bologna Festival with a programme featuring music by Respighi, Mahler and Ravel.
