Daniel Müller-Schott’s latest release Four Visions of France – French Cello Concertos is named “Concerto Choice” by BBC Music Magazine.
Roger Nichols from the magazine writes, “Müller-Schott has the technique to project the disc’s multitude of moods and to move seamlessly from virtuosity to sensuousness and back again… The Saint-Saëns Concerto is a joy from start to finish, even the most fiendish moments being delivered with aplomb.”
Four Visions of France features the works of Saint Saëns (Cello Concerto No 1; Romance in F, Op. 36), Fauré (Elegie in C Minor, Op. 24), Honegger (Cello Concerto) and Lalo (Cello Concerto). Deutsche Symphonie-Orchestra Berlin also performs on the record, conducted by Alexandre Bloch.
