Following successful debuts with the KBS Symphony Orchestra in Seoul, National Symphony Orchestra in Dublin, and Gewandhausorchester Leipzig in Germany, Karen Gomyo returns to Japan to perform in two concerts with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra on 4 and 5 July 2024. Conducted by the orchestra’s former Principal Guest Conductor Jakub Hrůša, with whom she regularly collaborates, the programme features Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1 in G minor and Bruckner’s “Romantic” Symphony No.4 in E-Flat Major. More information and tickets are available here.

Gomyo’s 2023/24 season highlights include engagements with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, and Vancouver Symphony. In February 2024, Gomyo returned to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra for the world premiere of Year 2020, a Concerto for Trumpet, Violin and Orchestra by Xi Wang, with trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth and conductor Fabio Luisi.  Further afield, Gomyo continues to be sought after in Australasia, and will be touring the region in August and September 2024, returning to the Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmanian and West Australian symphony orchestras.
