Karen Gomyo Makes Her Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao Debut

Violinist Karen Gomyo makes her debut with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bilbao, with two concerts on the 11 and 12 April 2024 at Palacio Euskalduna in Spain. Gomyo will perform in the Spanish premiere of Moussa’s “Adrano” concerto for violin and orchestra, as well as Dvořák’s Romance. The programme also features Nielsen’s Helios Overture and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7. More information and tickets are available here.

Karen Gomyo possesses a rare ability to captivate and connect intimately with audiences through her deeply emotional and heartfelt performances. With a flawless command of the instrument and an elegance of expression, she is one of today’s leading violinists. Her 2023/24 season engagements include debuts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig with Semyon Bychkov, and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland with Lio Kuokman. She also appears with the Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Gulbenkian Orchestra, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and the Vancouver Symphony. Return engagements include performing with Jakub Hrůša and the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra in Japan, as well as an Australasian tour in August and September 2024, returning to the Singapore, Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmanian and West Australian symphony orchestras.
