Kunal Lahiry Presents Bristol’s Queer SongFest

28 Jun 2023

Curated by pianist Kunal Lahiry, in collaboration with BBC Radio 3 and Bristol Pride, Queer SongFest is a concert series being performed at St George’s Bristol from the 29 – 30 June, created to make classical music accessible for the LGBTQ community in Bristol and beyond.

From operatic cabaret sensation, Le Gateau Chocolat, to an evening of song and vogue with Grammy Award-wining tenor Frederick Ballentine—who, along with Kunal, will be teaming up with the Bristol Ballroom Community – Queer SongFest is set to be an outstanding series of concerts pushing for positive change within the classical music scene. More information and tickets are available here.

Concluding a riveting 2022/23 season, Kunal’s recent highlights include recitals at Wigmore Hall, Kennedy Center, Pierre Boulez Saal, Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Carnegie Hall Weill Recital Room, Musée d’Orsay, Ludwigsburg Festival, Life Victoria de Los Angeles Festival, and at the Ravinia Festival’s Steans Music Institute.
