Louis Schwizgebel Makes His Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra Debut

Pianist Louis Schwizgebel will debut with the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra playing Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major, on Tuesday 20 October at Sheldonian Theatre. The programme also features Vaughan Williams’ Symphony No. 5 in D major and Richard Rodney Bennett’s Partita. More infomation and tickets are available here.

Schwizgebel will then perform with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra on the 26 October, playing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No 1 at the Lighthouse, Poole. The programme, conducted by Mihhail Gerts, also features Pärt’s Swansong and Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5. More information and tickets are available here.

Next month, Schwizgebel will play Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor K. 466, in three performances with the Argovia Philharmonic on the 10,11, and 13 November. Under the baton of Douglas Bostock, the programme also features Vaughan Williams’ Overture to «The Wasps» and Nielsen’s Symphony No. 5 op. 50. More information and tickets are available here.
