Luka Faulisi Makes His Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse Debut

9 Feb 2023

Tonight, Luka Faulisi makes his debut with the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse under Wilson Ng, performing Ernest Chausson’s Poème for violin and orchestra, Op.25. The programme also features Debussy’s Danse and Elgar’s Symphony No. 1 in A-flat major, Op. 55.

Faulisi’s recent highlights include performing with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta playing Prokofiev Violin Concert No. 1, as well as performing with the Szczecin Philharmonic under Case Scaglione playing Saint-Saens Violin Concerto No.3. In April, he will make his debut with the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino and Giampaolo Pretto, performing Bruch’s Violin Concerto.

Faulisi’s debut album Aria will be released in Spring 2023 on Sony Classical. The album features arias and scenes arranged for violin and piano by some of history’s great violinist-composers played by Faulisi and Lithuanian/Israeli pianist Itamar Golan, and includes an arrangement composed by Faulisi himself.
