Luka Faulisi Wins Acclaim Following The Release Of His Debut Album ‘Aria’

27 Mar 2023

Violinist Luka Faulisi has received high praise following the release of his debut album Aria by Sony Classical in March 2023.

Attila Csampai from Rondo Magazine wrote, “The Italian-Serbian-French virtuoso Luka Faulisi, who was only 20 years old (at the time of the recordings), transports us back to times when these showpieces were part of the repertoire of every great virtuoso and regularly drove the fine audience into a frenzy. Faulisi is also blessed with all the gifts of such a magician and tightrope artist.”

César Coca from El Correo wrote, “Luka Faulisi thus breaks into this competitive world and his business card is very good. Admirers will now be attentive to his concerts or new recordings. This is only the beginning.”

Ouest France wrote, “From the outset, his virtuoso bow ignites with Carmen Fantasie, a transcription of Georges Bizet’s famous opera.”

Faulisi featured on Classical FM’S 2023 Rising Stars ’30 Under 30′ list: “French-Serbian-Italian violinist Luka Faulisi has been described by esteemed violinist Pinchas Zukerman as having ‘a million dollar sound’. He released his debut album Aria this year with Sony Classical – an exploration of some of opera’s greatest themes from Carmen to La Traviata.”

Recent engagements include a recital in Paris to celebrate his album release, as well as debuts with the Macao Orchestra performing Saint Saens Violin Concerto No.3, and with the Orchestra Filarmonica di Torino performing Bruch’s Violin Concerto No.1 in G Minor.
