19 Jan 2022

IMG Artists is delighted to welcome conductor Vincenzo Milletarì to its roster for General Management. Winner of the Second Prize at the 10th Arturo Toscanini, Sir Georg Solti conducting competitions, and the Hera Comm Audience Prize at Parma, he will be represented by Federico M. Benigni from the company’s London office and Rome.

Vincenzo began his professional career in 2017 and has earned acclaim and reinvitations with major opera houses and orchestras including Royal Danish Opera, Royal Swedish Opera, Prague State Opera, Orchestra Sinfonica La Verdi in Milano, Filarmonica Toscanini in Parma, Aalborg Symphony Orchestra, Odense Symphony Orchestra and the Copenhagen Philharmonic.

He says, “I feel lucky and excited about joining IMG Artists at this stage of my career! Working with a such internationally established agency is perfect for someone like me who loves the opportunity of bringing people from different cultures together through the music, discovering the world we live in and its people. I look forward to making music together with great artists and moreover to strengthen my collaboration with Federico, a dear friend with whom I grow up during these years, and the best agent an artist can have. We have been working together over some years and now is not a just a new start, rather more a new stage in our musical journey!”

Federico says, “Vincenzo is an inspiring artist, whose career is rapidly growing throughout Europe. I always felt intrigued by his conducting style and approach to orchestras in both the operatic and symphonic worlds. The combination of being trained in Scandinavia and mentored by some of the greatest Italian conductors, such as Riccardo Muti and Piergiorgio Morandi, creates a unique mix which is rarely seen in the scene: the “old school” and the “new way” altogether! As Vincenzo says, this is a new stage of our professional journey and I’m curious to explore new exciting projects together at IMGA.”

Vincenzo is praised for his “powerful and refined” (Corriere della Sera) conducting instilled with “drama and excitement” (Seen and Heard International). He studied at Milan’s Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory and at Copenhagen’s Royal Danish Academy of Music. He continues his studies under mentors Riccardo Muti and Pier Giorgio Morandi.
