This weekend, soprano Miriam Kutrowatz will star in ‘Christmas in Vienna’ at the Vienna Konzerthaus. The gala concert, led by artistic director Karl Scheibmaier, welcomes the superstars of classical music to perform in a programme of esteemed classical literature. The festive event enjoyed by thousands of spectators “takes the audience into a world of its own for a few moments, sets the mood for Christmas and awakens a feeling of peace in the people”. A preview performance will occur tonight (16 Dec), followed by the main gala concert tomorrow evening (17 Dec).
