“They will always have a special place in my heart” – Case Scaglione Celebrates the WKO in Advance of Final Concert as their Chief Conductor on 5 July

Case Scaglione celebrates the end of his successful six-year tenure as Chief Conductor of the Württembergisches Kammerorchester in concert on 5 July. The outdoor concert at Kiliansplatz in Heilbronn, Germany, will feature selections from Mozart’s Don Giovanni, K.527 (Overture and “Or sai chi l’onore”), Schubert’s Overture in C minor, D.8; “Temerari… Come scoglio” from Mozart’s Così fan tutte, K.588; Rossini’s “Una voce poco fa” from Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Overture from L’Italiana in Algeri; and Rodion Schtschedrin’s Carmen Suite. Case and the orchestra are joined by soprano Małgorzata Rocławska.

Case said, “The WKO is the first orchestra that elected me as their chief conductor. This relationship will always be important and meaningful in my life. We grew together, survived a pandemic, and played so many performances that will remain with me forever. I love them more today than when I started six seasons ago, and they will always have a special place in my heart.”

Case’s recent guest conducting highlights across the United include appearances at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall with Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra; Lighthouse Poole with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and Irish debut with the RTE Symphony Orchestra. Across Europe, Case recent collaborations include Stockholm debut with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra; Hamburg debut with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra; Spanish debuts with Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra in Valladolid and at Madrid’s Teatro Monumental with RTVE Symphony Orchestra; Polish debut with the Szczecin Philharmonic; Prague debut with the Prague Symphony Orchestra and Danish debut with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra. During the 21/22 season Case also made his highly acclaimed debut at the Opéra national de Paris in a production of Elektra by Richard Strauss.

Across 24/ 25 season, Case makes debuts with the Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano, Komische Oper Berlin and returns to Cincinnati Symphony.
