Tine Thing Helseth Debuts with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

On the 16 and 18 May 2024, Tine Thing Helseth makes her debut with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in two concerts at Hamer Hall, Australia. Conducted by Lawrence Renes, the programme features Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and Rachmaninov’s Symphony No. 3, and Tine will perform Weinberg’s extraordinary Trumpet Concerto.

Tine’s 2023/24 season highlights include premiering a new concerto for Violin and Trumpet by composer Xi Wang with violinist Karen Gomyo and Dallas Sumphony Orchestra, as well as engagements with the Auckland Philharmonia, National Symphony Orchestra Taiwan, Staatsorchester Hannover, Staatsorchestrer Stuttgart, and Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra. In December 2023 she performed in an extensive Christmas tour with the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, and returned to London’s Wigmore Hall in 2024 with 12 Ensemble, playing Shostakovich’s Concerto for Piano, Trurmpet and String Orchestra.
