Tine Thing Helseth Makes Tokyo Symphony Orchestra Debut 17 & 18 September

Trumpeter Tine Thing Helseth kicks off her 2022/23 season with her hotly anticipated debut with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra on 17 and 18 September. She will perform Tomasi’s Trumpet Concerto with the orchestra and conductor Aziz Shokhakimov at Tokyo’s Suntory Hall (17 September, 18:00) and Kawasaki’s Muza Kawasaki Symphony Hall (18 September, 14:00). The programme includes Debussy’s Ibéria from Images for Orchestra.

2022/23 will also see Tine’s debuts with Symphony Silicon Valley in San Jose, CA, Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana in Palermo. She will also make her long-awaited return to Carnegie Hall with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, perform with the Orchestra of Opera North and a series of recitals in the UK and Italy.

Tine and her celebrated tenThing Brass Ensemble return to the US for a nine-date holiday tour, performing beloved works inspired by American and European Christmas traditions. This is followed in March 2023 with a tour throughout Sweden.
