Following a highly successful debut with Iceland Symphony Orchestra in Edinburgh in 2020, Yeol Eum Son returns to Scotland for her debut with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra performing Esa-Pekka Salonen’s Piano Concerto on the 17 Feb, 14:00. The repertoire also features Anna Clyde’s <<rewind<< and Stravinsky’s Petrushka (1947 version). Joana Carneiro conducts. More information and tickets are available here.
This weekend, Yeol will make her recital debut at Belgium’s Flagey Piano Days on the 19 Feb, 17:30. The repertoire features Lekeu’s Trois Pièces for piano, Hirtz’s Fantasy “Wizard of Oz”, Janáček’s Piano Sonata in E-flat minor, “1.X.1905″ and Kapustin’s Piano Sonata No. 2, op .54. Most recently Yeol Eum made her debut at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw and Eindhoven’s Muziekgebouw Frits Philips with Philharmonie Zuid Nederland performing Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.2. Future season highlights include her Australian concerti debuts with Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmanian Symphony Orchestras and recital debuts at Melbourne Recital Centre, City Recital Hall in Sydney and at the International Piano Series in Adelaide. Next month Yeol Eum returns to perform at Oregon OSU Piano International and Steinway Society in The Bay Area and makes her Northern American debut with San Diego Symphony Orchestra, alongside Jonathon Heyward.
