Tenor Deniz Leone was born in 1981 in Smirne. He completed his studies with Luciano Pavarotti in Modena and with Stella Silva and Maurizio Arena at the Conservatory “Benedetto Marcello” in Venice, Italy. He made his professional debut in 2006 as Don Ottavio in DON GIOVANNI at the Gran Teatro La Fenice. During the following season, he debuted as Alfredo in LA TRAVIATA, Duca di Mantova in RIGOLETTO and Edgardo in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR at the Teatro Verdi in Padova. Following the success of his first debuts, Deniz launched his international career with engagements such as Des Grieux in MANON LESCAUT at the Estonian National Opera, Fenton in FALSTAFF at the The National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, Duca di Mantova in RIGOLETTO at the Greek National Opera in Athens, Gennaro in LUCREZIA BORGIA at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, and Edgardo in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR – conducted by Daniel Oren – at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.

Recent engagements include Percy in ANNA BOLENA at Kosice National Theatre (Slovakia), Gualtiero in IL PIRATA for the Greek National Opera in Athens and the Teatro Massimo Bellini in Catania (where he also sang Nemorino in L’ELISIR D’AMORE, Carmina Burana and Rossini’s Sta- bat Mater), Arturo in I PURITANI for the Ankara State Opera House, Percy in ANNA BOLENA and Tonio in LA FILLE DU REGIMENT at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, Hoffmann in LES CONTES D’HOFFMANN for the Istanbul State Opera, Duca di Mantova in RIGOLETTO for several theaters including Teatro Sociale Como, Teatro Verdi Busseto, Arena di Verona, Daegu Opera House (Ko- rea) and Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theatre (where he also performed as Percy in ANNA BOLENA and as Sänger in DER ROSENKAVALIER), Alfredo in LA TRAVIATA at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Teatro Bellini in Catania and Teatro Verdi in Padova, Romeo in ROMEO ET JULIETTE at the Operosa Euxinograd Open Air Festival in Bulgaria, Tonio in LA FILLE DU RÉGI- MENT and Edgardo in LUCIA DI LAMMERMOOR at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa. Other debuted roles include the title role in WERTHER, Rodolfo in LA BOHÈME, and Roberto in ROBERTO DEVEREUX.
