IMG Artists Welcomes Dominic Sedgwick to Our Roster for General Management

IMG Artists is delighted to welcome baritone Dominic Sedgwick to its roster for general management. He will be represented by Artist Manager Isabella Pitman.

The british baritone is fast establishing himself as a singer with unique vocal colour and physical dynamicism. Sedgwick’s recent roles include Schaunard La bohème, Marullo Rigoletto and English Clerk in David McVicar’s new production of Death in Venice for the Royal Opera; Belcore L’elisir d’amore for Opéra National de Bordeaux; Anthony in Giorgio Battistelli’s Julius Caesar for Teatro dell’Opera di RomaMelot in a new production of Tristan und Isolde for the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence; Brother in a new production of The Seven Deadly Sins for Teatro Colón; Harlequin Ariadne auf Naxos for Opera North; Albert Werther for Grange Park Opera and Marullo for the Festival Berlioz and Bremen Musikfest.

Recent concert engagements have included Messiah with Canada’s National Arts Centre Orchestra/Bernard Labadie and the RLPO/Sofi Jeannin; Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs at the Three Choirs Festival with the Philharmonia Orchestra/Samuel Hudson and Pilate in Bach’s Matthäus-Passion at the BBC Proms with Arcangelo/Jonathan Cohen. Sedgwick was an Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment ‘Rising Star’ from 2019-2022 and worked extensively with the orchestra, performing works including the Messiah alongside their acclaimed ‘Bach, the Universe and Everything’ series.

In a season of debuts, Sedgwick entered 2023/24 as Sid in Albert Herring for Opera North. He also makes his debut in the role of Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia for West Green House Opera. On the concert platform, Sedgwick performs with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in Beethoven’s Mass in C, and debuts with the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra in Bach’s Johannes Passion. His future engagements include role debuts for Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, Welsh National Opera and Opera North.

Sedgwick says, “It is a privilege to join the roster at IMGA, and in particular to be working with Isabella. She is such a dynamic and positive energy to collaborate with and I’m excited to see what we will create together!”

Isabella Pitman says , ” I can’t wait to start working with Dominic again. He’s at an exciting stage in his career, with some great role debuts coming up. On top of his first rate singing, he is a hugely capable stage artist who is able to make even the most boring of roles interesting!”
