Omer Kobiljak Celebrates the New Year as Lehár’s Count of Luxembourg at Tiroler Festspiele Erl

Tenor Omer Kobiljak sings the title role of Lehár’s The Count of Luxembourg at the Tiroler Festspiele Erl on 31 December and 4 January. The concert performances feature Erik Nielsen conducting the Orchestra and Choir of the Tyrolean Festival Erl.

A 2023 Operalia finalist, Bosnian-born Omer Kobiljak is praised for his “high, luminous tenor” (Bachtrack). Highlights of his 2023/24 season include his return to the ensemble at Opernhaus Zürich where he sings Macduff in Macbeth conducted by Daniele Squeo, Vicomte Cascada in Die Lustige Witwe conducted by Patrick Hahn, Froh in Das Rheingold conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, Spitzel in Andrea Chénier conducted by Marco Armiliato, and Tebaldo in I vespri siciliani conducted by Ivan Repušić.
