17 Dec 2023

As MALEVO conclude their first ever world tour, the Argentinian dance sensation made their debut at The Royal Variety Performance 2023 at the Royal Albert Hall, London on the 30 November. Hosted by award-winning presenter Bradley Walsh, the event was held in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses, The Prince and Princess of Wales and The Crown Princess and Prince Daniel of Sweden. The star-studded spectacular will be screened on ITV1 and ITVX on Sunday 17 December at 8PM GMT.

The annual Royal Variety Performance is a remarkable evening featuring international stars, world class theatre, sensational singers and hilarious comedy. Multi-award winning superstar Cher headlined the show, performing a new song from her new Christmas album.

The event is staged in aid of the Royal Variety Charity. The money raised from the show helps those people from the world of entertainment in need of care and assistance.

MALEVO, created by director, choreographer, and dancer Matías Jaime, is a thrilling all-male group that specializes in Malambo—a traditional Argentine folk dance of great virility and dexterity—and seeks to take it beyond its limits with a modern, avant-garde, and transgressive approach, merging it with other dance styles like flamenco and urban percussion.

Malevo’s career highlights include being named an official “Cultural Ambassador to the National Identity of Argentina”, triumphant performances in Las Vegas, New York, Dubai, Paris, Cairo, St Petersburg and Montreal, as well as special performances with Latin pop-star Ricky Martin, Cirque du Soleil, a year-long residency at Universal Studios Japan and making it to semi-finalists on the hit TV show – America’s Got Talent.
